Project statement

Insight Nature is a photographic series created in the subtropical forest of the Azores, captured almost entirely in near-darkness, where light becomes rare, diffuse, almost elusive.

In this visual silence, Alain Richard explores a different way of seeing, slower, more instinctive. Rather than showing nature as it appears, he seeks to capture its presence, its invisible rhythms, its emerging forms.
The images in Insight Nature do not describe what we see, but what we feel. They invite a meditative experience, where shadow becomes texture and every detail calls for contemplation.

It is an immersion into a more intimate, fragile nature, one that only reveals itself to those who take the time to look differently.
